About Me

Candice Eley is a San Diego-based photographer, PR specialist and digital marketer specializing in local culture and lifestyle, food and beer, art and music.

Candice holds a B.A. in English from the University of California, Irvine, and an M.A. in Media Studies, with an emphasis in Management, from The New School in New York.

Candice currently serves as the director for the elite public relations team of the San Diego Tourism Authority and has generated tens of millions of dollars in free publicity for the San Diego region. Much of this media coverage has highlighted San Diego’s craft beer, neighborhood and cultural offerings.

In addition to her work with the San Diego Tourism Authority, Candice has also served as a marketing and PR consultant for the Medium Festival of Photography and Mike Hess Brewing Company. She currently serves on the board of the San Diego Museum Council and is a volunteer with the El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association. She previously worked as the PR Coordinator for the San Diego Humane Society and Marketing Manager for the Museum of Photographic Arts, where she launched POP Thursdays, an after-hours event series featuring movies, music and art. Created to expose new and younger audiences to the museum, POP Thursdays served as one of the museum’s signature events for seven years.

Candice is also the digital manager of the music website Treblezine.com, which she runs with her husband, music journalist Jeff Terich.

As a marketer, Candice has been featured in San Diego Magazine’s “25 Big Ideas from the City’s Most Interesting People” and has presented at the following events:

  • Americans for the Arts National Arts Marketing Project Conference
  • Brewers Association Craft Brewers Conference
  • National Bicycle Tourism Conference

As a freelance photographer, her work has been featured in:
